Phone System Maintenance Notice

The Elmira City School District would like to inform our community of a brief, scheduled maintenance to our regional phone system.

Date: Monday, April 20
Time: Beginning at 4:00 PM
Duration: Approximately 10 minutes

During this time, phone services across the district will be temporarily unavailable.

This maintenance is being completed outside of school hours to minimize any disruption to students, staff, and families. Because this work is coordinated with an external vendor, it must take place during this scheduled time.

We appreciate your understanding and patience as we complete this important update.

Welcome back! We are excited to have a building full of students and staff again! We have many events happening this week. PFO meeting will be on Monday at 5pm. Tuesday, student council members will visit the nursing home. We will also have a family paint event on Tuesday night. This week, we will begin state testing with 5th grade only on Thursday. We end the week with Popcorn Friday!

Join us for a fun family night and help support our 6th Grade End-of-Year Celebration!
Families are invited to paint ceiling tiles that will be displayed in our main hallway, creating lasting memories for years to come. Snacks and drinks will be available for purchase.

READING ROCKS! On Friday, March 13, Mrs. Heysham’s class joined Joey Spiotto and Scholastic to look at Mr. Spiotto's new book, "Max a Little Axolotl". Mr. Spiotto read to the class and taught them how to draw Max. What an incredible opportunity for our Huskies!🐾#HendyStrong

Happy Sunday! This week, we have a half day of school on Wednesday March 18, 2026. We will hold parent-teacher conferences. If you need to schedule a time, please reach out directly to your child's classroom teacher. Looking forward to a wonderful week at Hendy!

Ms. Brown wants to give her class a shoutout for doing so well welcoming a new student into the class. They did so well including them into classroom procedures and helping them understand the routine. Thank you for being so welcoming!
